John Winning awarded CEO of the Year at CEO Magazine’s Executive of the Year Awards

The Winning Group is pleased to announce that CEO John Winning, has been awarded CEO of the Year at CEO Magazine’s Executive of the Year Awards. The CEO Magazine Executive of the Year Awards recognises inspirational leadership over the past year and John Winning was awarded CEO of the Year in the A$100m+ category.
John Winning founded Appliances Online in 2005 at just 21 years of age with a laptop, rented truck, and a 1300 number diverted to a mobile phone. Determined to shake up the market, John set out to offer Australians an efficient, streamlined and convenient online shopping experience.
Since taking over the reins as CEO of the Winning Group, John has transformed the business from a retailer to an experience company, including retail, logistics, hospitality, technology, science, education, media and extreme sports. Today, the Winning Group encompasses a range of businesses including Appliances Online, Winning Appliances, Andoo, Rogerseller, Spence & Lyda, Home Clearance, Winning Services, Heelix, and Ora restaurant and many more.
